TOETSU

Touetsu Kiln, a revered establishment for Arita ware spanning fourteen generations, boasts a storied history dating back to its founding by the Imamura family in 1641 during the Edo period's third year of Keicho. Initially rooted in Minamikawachi, Sasebo City, the kiln's legacy took shape when the Imamura family, responding to an invitation from Lord Matsuura during the Bunroku-Keicho War, embarked on the art of crafting porcelain.

Under the guidance of the twelfth-generation leader, Kakuo Imamura, in 1963, the kiln underwent a pivotal relocation to Arita Town, signifying a significant expansion. In 1986, it officially became Touetsu Kiln Co., Ltd., with Kenichi Imamura assuming the role of the current head. The kiln's allure emanates from its sophisticated backdrop adorned with exquisite gold and silver decorations, setting it apart from conventional white porcelain. The evolution of the black realm persists across generations, with gold and silver invoking the essence of Japanese tradition, injecting vitality into the dining experience.

Crystal Mica Silver (Shouunmo Gin), a distinguished series from Touetsu Kiln, features a unique crystalline glaze known as "shou." Following the initial kiln firing, it undergoes a red overglaze firing using mica silver, resulting in a captivating and elegant luster.
